Day 27: Planting Seeds, Watching Them Grow
Share
Today started with a hiccup—the automation tool server I rely on decided to take a little “me time” for maintenance. (Honestly, can I sign up for that too?) As a result, I only managed to get a few of the blankets uploaded to the website. Definitely not the productive day I had planned, but hey, progress is progress, right?
Instead, I spent the better part of the day working on this video: Watch Here. Was it time well spent? Honestly, I’m not sure—but it was fun getting creative and trying something new. And if it gives even one person a glimpse of the heart behind these products, then maybe it was worth it.
Meanwhile, Cyber Weekend is less than 10 days away, and reality has set in: not everything I dreamed of having done will be ready in time. Deadlines have a way of reminding us we’re only human. But I’m holding onto this saying: “The best time to plant a tree was 10 years ago. The second best time is now.”
So here I am, planting seeds. Maybe this Cyber Weekend won’t be everything I envisioned, but it’s laying the foundation for something better next year.
That said—spoiler alert—this Cyber Weekend will include 30% off everything and free shipping on orders over $100! (I see you, Tina. You’re probably the only one reading this, so now you’ve got the scoop early.)
Speaking of planting seeds, I’ve been experimenting with Instagram, TikTok, and Google ads. And, well...not a single sale. Not one. (Ouch.) But that’s okay—these things take time. There’s a lot I still need to learn—how to connect with my audience, what resonates, and how to make the pieces click.
This project means so much to me, but it’s clear: I don’t have to sprint. If taking a freelance gig on the side helps me stay steady, that’s okay. It gives me the freedom to keep building Isloved with care, at a pace that feels sustainable.
Each misstep is a lesson. Each new product, every ad experiment, and all the little victories are seeds that will one day grow into something big.
So for now, I’m embracing the slow build. There’s beauty in patience. By Cyber Weekend next year, I’ll be ready—rooted, thriving, and strong.
And Tina (or anyone else reading this), thanks for being part of the journey. Your support means more than you know.
