The kid the Chow follows from room to room has received the breed's highest honor, quietly conferred. Regalia: brushed-soft midweight fleece, a double-lined hood for real warmth, a roomy kangaroo pocket, and the badge in its ring of red rays. Resists pilling; true to size.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Chow Chow
One of the world’s oldest breeds, the Chow served China for at least two thousand years as hunter, hauler, and guardian of home and boat. The English name is likely a Western invention — lore blames pidgin trade slang for miscellaneous ship’s cargo — though the dogs were never miscellaneous. The first Chow entered the AKC registry in 1903, a dog named Yen How.
