To a kid, the Jack Russell was never a pet — it was a co-conspirator, first through every gap in the fence. Let them wear their accomplice: brushed-soft midweight fleece, a double-lined hood for real warmth, and a kangaroo pocket sized for evidence the dog would want inspected.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Jack Russell Terrier
The parson’s terriers were bred in Devon to run with foxhounds and bolt the fox from its earth — white-bodied so nobody mistook them for the quarry, and required to harry, never to kill. Working owners have guarded that job description ever since: the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America, founded in 1976, opposed show recognition, and the AKC’s 2001 admission of the breed remains a family argument.
