Day 1: Starting Something New: Showing Up, Doing the Work, and Building Consistency
Share
First, thank you. Thank you for finding me, for stopping by, and for taking the time to read this post. Today marks Day 1 of something new, and I’m grateful you’re here to share in this moment with me.
There’s something exhilarating about Day 1. It’s the thrill of a blank page, the promise of potential, and the quiet whisper that says, “This could be the one.” But as exciting as it is, starting something new comes with its own set of challenges. The hardest part? Believing in myself enough to show up, do the work, and trust that the rest will follow.
Believing in Yourself
Every great journey begins with belief. It’s easy to doubt, to compare your progress to others, or to let fear creep in. But the truth is, Day 1 is always uncertain for everyone. No one is born ready. We all have to take that first step, no matter how unsure we feel.
That belief is what led me to the launch of isloved.shop. It’s more than just an online store—it’s the result of everything I’ve learned over the years. From designing t-shirts for Tommy Bahama and creating products at Bucky, to working on social media campaigns for boutique design agencies, launching startups in tech, and shaping UX design at Expedia—each of these experiences has played a part in getting me to where I am now. I’m grateful for every lesson and challenge along the way, and isloved.shop is the culmination of that entire journey.
The Power of Day 1 and Consistency
Day 1 is full of energy and possibility, but it’s consistency that carries you beyond it. It’s not about giant leaps but small, steady steps forward. By showing up, day after day, you start to build something real.
In building isloved.shop, I’ve learned that each small action matters. Each design, each decision, each moment of doubt or triumph—these are the pieces that form the whole. I’m grateful for the patience and persistence that consistency has taught me, and I’ve come to understand that success is a long game.
Developing Habits for Success
Day 1 is important, but so is every day that follows. It’s about building habits that sustain you over time. Whether it’s dedicating time to your passion or committing to small, actionable goals, it’s consistency that transforms dreams into reality.
With isloved.shop, I’ve created a daily practice of showing up. It’s not just about launching a store—it’s about building something that reflects the love and creativity I’ve poured into it. I’m learning to be patient with the process and with myself, and I’m grateful for the journey.
Doing the Work
At the end of the day, it’s all about doing the work. Day 1 is the beginning, but the work is what brings progress. There’s no shortcut. You have to show up, put in the effort, and trust that each small step is building something meaningful.
For me, isloved.shop is the culmination of years of work. It’s a reflection of everything I’ve learned, from product design to brand identity, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share it with you.
Gratitude and Patience
So, once again, thank you. Thank you for being here on Day 1, for sharing in this beginning, and for supporting what I’ve built. Starting something new requires not only belief and consistency but also patience—patience with the process and with yourself.
I’m grateful for the path that has brought me to isloved.shop, and I hope it becomes a place where you find something you love, too. Together, we can keep showing up, doing the work, and building something that lasts.
Thank you for being part of this journey.
