Part of being an artist and designer, for me, has always been the harder, quieter work underneath the craft: giving myself the space and the permission to make things — to stand inside my own story instead of hustling for a place in someone else's.
That's what this shop is. And it's why the first collection begins where it does.
Icons is dedicated to dogs. If you've shared your life with one, you already know why. They're companions, protectors, comedians, and the steadiest presence in the room. They don't care who you are, where you've been, or what you've accomplished. They love you as you are. That seemed like the right place to begin.
Each design in the collection celebrates a breed — but really it's celebrating the particular animal you're thinking of right now: the puppy who destroyed the good shoes, the old dog who knows your schedule better than you do. The designs are about the bond, not just the breed.
My hope is simple: that somewhere in Icons you see your own dog looking back at you. That's the whole idea of this place — celebrating the things we love, and the dogs who make life a little brighter.
