Day 43: Slowing Down and Letting Go
Share
The world is in full-on holiday hustle right now, but this year, I’ve decided to take a different route. No crazy sales. No frantic energy. Just me, a cup of tea, and a whole lot of gratitude.
For a while, I thought the holidays had to come with a checklist of “big” things—record-breaking sales, perfect decorations, a packed calendar. But not this year. I’ve let that pressure melt away like snow on a sunny day, and you know what? It feels amazing.
Instead of rushing, I’m chilling. I put up some Christmas lights, set up my little tree, and let myself feel the magic in the small things. My tea is warm, the room glows softly, and for the first time in a while, I’m not thinking about what’s next. I’m just...here.
It’s funny how stepping back can feel like stepping into something better. The less I push, the more space I find for the good stuff—the stuff that actually matters. Like gratitude.
Gratitude for the quiet moments. For twinkling lights and simple joys. For the chance to take a breath and really be in this season, instead of sprinting through it.
So no, there won’t be holiday craziness this year—and that’s okay. Sometimes letting go of the big, loud plans makes room for something softer, sweeter, and a lot more real.
Here’s to slowing down, finding joy in the little things, and sipping tea under a string of lights. This is what the season is all about. 💛
What are you slowing down for this year?
