Affenpinscher
To a kid, the Affenpinscher is a co-conspirator of exactly the right size — always available, never opposed to mischief. For the other half of the operation: brushed-soft midweight fleece, a double-lined hood for real warmth, and a kangaroo pocket sized for shared contraband.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Affenpinscher
The Affenpinscher earned a living in seventeenth-century Germany as a ratter, clearing vermin from stables, shops, and kitchens. The talented ones charmed their way indoors, off the clock, and became companions — first to shopkeepers, then to ladies of the house, eventually to anyone with a warm lap. The first American litter arrived in 1935; AKC recognition followed in 1936.
