Bloodhound
A walk with a Bloodhound is really an investigation you happen to be leashed to. Dress for fieldwork: medium-weight US cotton, easy to layer, ribbed collar and cuffs that stretch on and settle back, a double-needle hem, and a hand that goes softer with every wash.
Materials
Medium-weight 6.0 oz 100% US cotton in an easy, classic tubular fit. A 1x1 ribbed collar and cuffs stretch and recover, taped neck and shoulders hold their shape, and a double-needle hem wears well. Sizes S–2XL.

Meet the Bloodhound
Lore traces the breed to the Abbey of Saint-Hubert in the Ardennes, where monks were breeding renowned black-and-tan hounds around AD 1000; centuries of noble kennels refined the type, and the man-trailing work chose itself. The original European strain faded away, but English breeding preserved the dog we know. The American standard, written in 1896, has scarcely changed since — there was little to improve.
