Majestic, gentle, and sometimes known as the “Apollo of dogs,” the Great Dane is a gentle giant with a heart to match their size. They’re known for their loving, easygoing nature and love nothing more than being with family. These dogs are surprisingly graceful and bring warmth wherever they go.
Materials
Lightweight 5.0 oz combed, ring-spun cotton — smooth against a baby’s skin — with rib-knit bindings for durability and stretch, and plastic snaps at the cross closure for easy changing. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes newborn to 18 months.
Care
- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: low heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Great Dane
Despite the name, the Great Dane is thoroughly German — a catch dog bred to seize wild boar and hold on, descended from mastiff-and-hound crosses the Germans long called the Englische Dogge. In 1878 a Berlin committee renamed the breed Deutsche Dogge, claiming it for Germany, and fanciers refined ferocity into grandeur. How an English-named dog perfected in Germany ended up “Danish” remains a mystery nobody has satisfyingly explained.
