Norwegian Elkhound
The night watch is old work for an Elkhound, and the 3 a.m. feeding counts as a shift. For the newest member of the crew: long sleeves against drafty mornings, the same supremely soft combed ring-spun cotton, ribbed binding that stretches and lasts, and snaps that keep changes quick.
Materials
Lightweight 5.0 oz combed, ring-spun cotton — smooth against a baby’s skin — with rib-knit bindings for durability and stretch, and plastic snaps at the cross closure for easy changing. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes newborn to 18 months.

- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: low heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Norwegian Elkhound
For millennia the all-purpose dog of Norwegian farms — moose hunter, watchdog, herder, sled hand — the Elkhound entered the formal record when Norway’s earliest dog shows benched the type in 1877. The name elghund means moose dog; the English translation simply missed. The AKC registered its first Elkhounds in 1913, and the breed’s American parent club was formally admitted in 1935.
