Airedale Terrier
To a kid, an Airedale is staff, sibling, and co-inventor of every backyard scheme. Dress the human half of the partnership in brushed-soft midweight fleece: a double-lined hood for real warmth, a roomy kangaroo pocket for findings, and a knit that resists pilling all season.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Airedale Terrier
Mid-nineteenth-century Yorkshire: mill workers along the River Aire crossed their terriers with the Otterhound, after a dog game enough for rats and big enough for otters. The result outgrew every other terrier and most other job descriptions — police work in Britain and Germany, messenger duty under fire in the First World War. The AKC recognized the breed in 1888.
