Airedale Terrier
A onetime wartime messenger takes the three a.m. feeding seriously, reporting down the hall right behind you. For the smallest one on shift: long sleeves against the draft, supremely soft combed cotton, ribbed binding that stretches and lasts, and snaps that keep changes brief.
Materials
Lightweight 5.0 oz combed, ring-spun cotton — smooth against a baby’s skin — with rib-knit bindings for durability and stretch, and plastic snaps at the cross closure for easy changing. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes newborn to 18 months.
Care
- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: low heat
- Do not iron

Meet the Airedale Terrier
Mid-nineteenth-century Yorkshire: mill workers along the River Aire crossed their terriers with the Otterhound, after a dog game enough for rats and big enough for otters. The result outgrew every other terrier and most other job descriptions — police work in Britain and Germany, messenger duty under fire in the First World War. The AKC recognized the breed in 1888.
