Strong, calm, and naturally protective, the Anatolian Shepherd is like having a gentle giant as a best friend. Don’t let their serious demeanor fool you—they’re sweet with their family and will watch over everyone, sometimes with a little side-eye just to make sure all is as it should be.
Materials
Lightweight 5.0 oz combed, ring-spun cotton — smooth against a baby’s skin — with rib-knit bindings for durability and stretch, and plastic snaps at the cross closure for easy changing. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes newborn to 18 months.
Care
- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: low heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Anatolian Shepherd Dog
For thousands of years on the Anatolian plateau, Turkish shepherds trusted their flocks to the çoban köpeği — the shepherd’s dog — guardians bred to be born among the sheep, live as one of them, and answer wolves without waiting for instructions. The AKC recognized the breed in 1996 — in the Working Group, naturally.
