Basenji people recognize each other by the stories — the climbing, the yodel, the dignified refusal to come when called. Membership, printed: the badge in a ring of red rays on heavyweight ring-spun cotton, pigment-dyed to a vintage softness, cut boxy and slightly cropped.
Materials
Heavy 6.1 oz 100% ring-spun US cotton in an oversized, slightly cropped boxy cut. A seamless body and shoulder-to-shoulder twill tape hold its shape, while OEKO-TEX-certified pigment dyes give a soft, vintage hand that stays true. Sizes S–2XL.

- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: low heat

Meet the Basenji
For millennia a hunting dog of central Africa, coursing game for villagers who valued a swift, silent partner. Europeans met the breed in the Congo basin in 1895, but early exports kept dying of disease, and it took until the 1930s for English breeders to establish them abroad. The AKC recognized the Basenji in 1944 — voice, standards, and self-possession fully intact.
