Basset Hound
The Basset monitors the toddler from floor level, which is where both of them do their best work. The uniform: light Airlume combed ring-spun cotton, gentle on little skin, pre-shrunk and side-seamed to keep its shape, made for snacks, spills, and serious playground dirt.
Materials
A lightweight 4.2 oz 100% Airlume combed, ring-spun cotton jersey — finely knit, smooth, and gentle on small skin. Side seams give it a proper shape, and a tear-away label keeps it comfortable. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes 2T–5T.
Care
- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Do not bleach
- Tumble dry: low heat
- Iron, steam or dry: low heat
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Basset Hound
The Basset is a French invention, and an old one — “bas” means low, and French hunters bred the great St. Hubert scenting hound down onto short legs so the hunt could proceed at walking pace. The type flourished in the era of Napoleon III, crossed to England in the 1870s, and was among the AKC’s earliest breeds, recognized in 1885.
