Maltese
To a kid, the Maltese was a cloud that chose them — small, white, and certain of its person. Let them wear the choosing: brushed-soft midweight fleece, a double-lined hood for real warmth, and a kangaroo pocket for treasures a small white supervisor will want declared.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Maltese
The breed is named for the Mediterranean island whose harbors moved silk, spice, and — ancient writers suggest — very small white dogs around the classical world. Ships carried them everywhere; laps received them. Through empires, courts, and show benches, the assignment never changed: companion, full stop. The Maltese was among the AKC’s earliest breeds, registered from 1888, and has rarely left the ribbons since.
