Alaskan Malamute
A Malamute does not care for being left, and says so with its whole enormous self. Carry something of the pack along — the badge in a ring of red rays on nine ounces of two-ply cotton fleece, with a two-ply drawstring hood, a kangaroo pocket, and the heritage C on the sleeve.

Medium-heavy 9 oz fleece with Champion’s Double Dry™ warmth — a soft 50/50 cotton-poly blend with no side seams, up to 5% recycled polyester, an adjustable 2-ply hood, a kangaroo pocket, and the iconic C on the sleeve. Regular fit.

- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)

Meet the Alaskan Malamute
One of the oldest Arctic breeds, developed by the Mahlemiut Inupiaq around Kotzebue Sound to haul heavy sledges across northwest Alaska. The Gold Rush nearly diluted the breed out of existence, and wartime service nearly finished the job — by the late 1940s, registered Malamutes numbered only in the dozens. Recognized by the AKC in 1935, the breed was rebuilt, carefully, from the survivors.
