Finnish Spitz
To a kid, the Finnish Spitz was always there — lookout, herald, first to report anything worth reporting. Let them wear it: brushed-soft midweight fleece, a double-lined hood for real warmth, and a roomy kangaroo pocket, in a preshrunk build that resists pilling all season.
Materials
A medium-weight 8.0 oz 50/50 cotton-poly blend — ultra-soft, preshrunk fleece that’s cozy against the skin. A spacious kangaroo pocket keeps hands warm, and a twill-taped neck holds its shape. Regular fit, runs true to size; sizes S–XL.
Care
- Machine wash: warm (max 40C or 105F)
- Bleach as needed
- Tumble dry: medium heat
- Do not iron
- Do not dry clean

Meet the Finnish Spitz
Spitz-type hunting dogs came north with settlers thousands of years ago and became Finland’s specialist for feathered game. Puppies are born dark and redden as they grow, as if the breed itself insists on becoming more Finnish. Finland named it the national dog in 1979; the AKC recognized the breed in 1991. In Finland, the bark still counts as a working credential.
