At three a.m. an Akita does not fuss down the hall; it is simply, somehow, already there. For the smallest one awake: long sleeves for drafty mornings, supremely soft combed ring-spun cotton, ribbed binding that stretches and lasts, and snaps for fuss-free changes at any hour.
Materials
Lightweight 5.0 oz combed, ring-spun cotton — smooth against a baby’s skin — with rib-knit bindings for durability and stretch, and plastic snaps at the cross closure for easy changing. Solid colors are 100% cotton; sizes newborn to 18 months.

- Machine wash: cold (max 30C or 90F)
- Non-chlorine: bleach as needed

Meet the Akita
The Akita comes from the mountains of Akita Prefecture in northern Japan, where Matagi hunters used powerful dogs to track and hold bear, boar, and serow. The breed nearly vanished during the Second World War, then came to America with returning servicemen, whose enthusiasm built the American line. The AKC granted full recognition in 1972, in the Working Group.
